Global mobilization · Illustrative pathway
A shared rhythm
to act together.
Action periods synchronized around the world, gradually becoming longer over time, to build lasting collective momentum for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Une période courte. Puis un peu plus longue.
Le dispositif prévoit 4 périodes d’action par an, dont la durée augmente progressivement, jusqu’à devenir permanent.
Global
One shared moment for everyone.
Progressive
Short, simple actions that gradually become lasting and more effective.
Measurable
Visible results that help sustain our motivation.
01 · The starting point
We know we need to act. Yet acting together remains difficult.
Climate change is now widely recognized, and its consequences are becoming increasingly tangible. Yet a significant gap remains between this awareness and the changes actually being made. Many initiatives exist, but they often move forward separately, at different speeds, and rarely create the sense of being part of a shared movement.
Pulse 2050 starts from this gap. The question is no longer only why greenhouse gas emissions should be reduced, but how to create collective momentum that can progressively involve citizens, organizations, businesses, local authorities and governments.
02 · The proposal
Create a shared moment that grows over time.
Pulse 2050 explores the idea of action periods taking place at the same time in different countries. They would begin with a short duration, then return regularly and gradually become longer. Everyone could take part according to their own context, through locally adapted actions, while contributing to the same global movement.
After each edition, the results would be measured and made visible. The aim is not to claim that society can be transformed in a single day, but to build a collective rhythm over time that allows us to learn, adjust the actions and progressively go further.
The project is entering its finalization phase
The framework is in place. It now needs to be finalized and tested against reality.
The project’s principles are now structured. Some practical details still need to be clarified, assumptions challenged, the right expertise brought together, and the conditions prepared for a credible first edition.
